Accreditation
Navarro College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Navarro College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Health Professions programs at Navarro College are accredited by the following agencies:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Approved for Candidacy by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) - Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) - Texas Board of Nursing (BON)
Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) - National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS)
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
Navarro College is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
and is a member of the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC) and the American
Association of Community Colleges (AACC).
Navarro College represents itself accurately to all U. S. Department of Education recognized accrediting agencies with which it holds accreditation and informs those agencies of any change of accreditation status, including the imposition of public sanctions. The Vice President of Academic Affairs, who also serves as SACSCOC liaison, is responsible for notifications of accreditors when a change in accreditation status occurs.
